So we wake up so refreshed and ready for the day. Our goal was to go to the Magic Kingdom again to see Regis and Kelly :)
I took some picture of Ty while we were waiting for Tim.
Our resort is in the background…I loved the colors.
We were on our way and it was crazy traffic to get in...we decided that seeing them on TV was enough, and decided to go to Animal Kingdom. I did catch a picture of the blimp. haha
We get to Animal Kingdom and it was just so adorable...but extremely crowded. What the…? Isn't this week supposed to be one of the "low attendance" weeks? It was rather hot and packed, but still fun ☺
I called Ty my little Roo when he was in my belly…before we knew he was going to be a little boy… so this one was sentimental..
We went to the safari, but the line was crazy, we had lunch reservations at Whispering Canyon so we just did the things we didn’t do at the AK back in March. We did the Discovery Island walking trails… it was really tough to see in the sea of people, but we did get to watch the gorillas!
It was really stinky here though…like bad BO, not sure if it was the gorillas, or the mass of people surrounding us…we got out of there quickly! We then headed over to the Rafiki Planet Watch. This was particularly exciting for Tyler as he LOVES Choo Choo Trains! He proudly exclaimed “All Aboard!” and when the train whistle would sound, he would put his had by his ear and said “You hear that Mommy?!” I thought it was a short ride, but it took us to another section of the park, so we got back on to go to the original station where Tim was waiting for us. After that, we decided to head out. Ty was getting hot, tired and hungry, so we cancelled the ADR for Whispering Canyon and opted for a quick lunch and nap. We made ADRs for our resort restaurant Shutters for later that evening. With a toddler, you gotta adapt to his schedule and plans can change pretty fast. We went back, ate a quick lunch, cooled off in the pool (as Ty suddenly had lots of energy), we stopped over at the playground and then took a nap.
Some more towel animals…
Ty was really tired, as were we, but we had reservations, so we got ready and headed down. Tyler was teething and you could tell, so I got him some Tylenol and went to the restaurant. We got him this cute little monorail car and he loved it. Our waiter was not the friendliest, just not much personality and definitely didn’t like his job. I am very understanding of servers, being one for many years, but good LORD! We were easy going and nice, and just the questions we asked were simple and he didn’t know the answers… He already irritated me and Ty was not having it either, so Tim and I decided to take it all to go and Ty and I took a walk. We ended up eating at the dining area instead of the restaurant. I would not go back to Shutters, the food was not theat exceptional either…maybe the fact that we had to eat it in to go boxes didn't help. It didn’t WOW me, lets put it that way ☺
Tim and Ty played in the arcade…this became one of their favorite spots together. Ty would jump from machine to machine… he loved the driving ones and the Star Wars one. Tim and Ty played air hockey and the claw grabbing games…they had a blast together. I joined in here and there, but this was their zone. Haha To cute!
We went back to the room and got ready for bed. We walked out and watched some fireworks. It was a nice relaxing day for the most part ☺
Next up…day 3!
Relaxing some more and Epcot, Coral Reef, and the diver…
