Today we have a busy schedule once again. Haha We had a character breakfast that I have been looking forward to. It is 1900 Park Fare. It’s a little more girly than my boys would prefer, but I just knew they would enjoy it. I pictured dancing around like a princess and being so relaxed and fun…HOWEVER… didn’t happen quite like that. We woke up exhausted (we got in late from the Christmas party) and had 10 am reservations. Ty slept in and we woke him at the last possible second. As we are walking out, I realize I lost my room key…which would be fine and good, but anyone could take it and charge to our room. (You can use it like a credit card and pay at the end of the trip). So we stop by the Custom House so I can get a new one. We had 20 minutes, so we were not too stressed… until it is FINALLY my turn to be waited on and we have 5 minutes till we are late for our reservations and we STILL have to drive there. It would have been ok, except the cast member deleted all my information and Tim’s and had to have them rebook us! I was panicking a bit at this point. She called over to the Grand Floridian and 1900 Park Fare and it was still a mess. They said they were booked up and she explained it was her fault. All the while Tim and Ty are still waiting in the car for me. I get a temporary card till it is all sorted out. I get in the car and at this point I am so upset. Tim is calm and tells me not to worry. I thought for sure breakfast was over as it was almost 11 and they don’t have lunch at 1900…just breakfast and dinner. We get there and Tim drops me off and goes to park with Ty. He has to park so far away. I get seated and I am waiting. I order a Grand Mimosa and wait, and wait… Alice and the Mad Hatter come over to me and are very playful and talkative. I explained that I was waiting for Tim and Ty. They were silly. The Mad Hatter sat in Tyler’s high chair and joked about Tyler driving. It was fun. They said they would come back over. Tim and Ty finally arrive. They had to park in the overflow lot. We are still a little stressed, but trying SO hard to enjoy. I got a bowl of the Strawberry soup that everyone raves about. It was cute, but a little too sweet for me ☺
Tigger hopped by,
Pooh cuddled Tyler,
Daddy even got some Pooh love…
the Fairy Godmother,
Mary Poppins…
Pooh came back around to give Tyler another hug…
many more characters than I expected! It was just supposed to be Alice, Mad Hatter nad Mary Poppins. ☺
We were one of the last families in there as the breakfast was almost over. Haha Alice and the Mad Hatter kept their promise and came back to see us.
They were very playful and fun once again, but Ty thought they were rather strange. Haha
On our way out, a cast member hostess thought Tyler was adorable. She gave him an adorable Victorian placemat. He looked at her and said “Thank you so much!” She thought that was so sweet that she ran in the back an got him some 5x7 pictures of the characters. It was quite magical ☺ haha Tyler is quite the charmer.
Here Ty is holding his placemat up…
We had such a wonderful time.
We walked around the Grand Floridian and I took a lot of pictures. The Grand Floridian is my Mom’s favorite and I just knew she would love to see the decorations. She is quite the decorator herself.

After breakfast, we head back to a much needed nap. We relax by the pool and go for our naps. We had an early reservation for Boma, but we had to cancel as Tyler was still sleeping. His rest was important obviously! Haha You have to adapt when you have a toddler who is totally off his schedule. We were trying to find another place to eat for dinner and I remember they had Belly Dancing at Morracco and I always wanted to go there. We made reservations for later in the evening and took our time.
We were disappointed in the restaurant. Restaurant Marrakesh. It was crowded and loud (I know you expect that in a Disney restaurant…but this was extreme). We caught the end of a belly dance routine. We waited forever to be waited on, finally were and we got our food really fast. Our waiter neglected us until the end after he gave us our check. Haha here is our waiter trying to redeem himself by playing with Tyler…haha
There was this other little server guy that looked like Aladdin who actually waited on us. Haha He would notice what we needed and so forth. For our apps, Tim got Chicken Bastilla - baked layers of thin pastry stuffed with minced chicken and almonds, sprinkled with cinnamon and powdered sugar and I got the Jasmina Salad. We both got Shish Kebab and for dessert we both got Bastilla - crispy leaves of pastry topped with vanilla cream and sprinkled with toasted almonds. It tasted like cereal with way too much sugar and was way too sweet.
When we left Tim got soooo sick. We both think it was something he ate. Guess you could say his belly was dancing... haha We tried the Morroccan place, but doubt we will ever go back. The belly dancers never came back out either. Arrgh!
We got back to the room and Ty played me a couple songs.
We watched Illuminations fireworks from our resort and got ready for bed.
Tomorrow we had another fun day in store!
Epcot and the Hoop De Doo Revue!
